The first airplane to carry a United States President out of the country was the huge Boeing Model 314, operated by Pan American World Airlines. On January 11, 1943, the Dixie Clipper was used to fly President Franklin Roosevelt to a conference with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in Casablanca, Morocco.
