Artist Lloyd S. Jones

About our artist

Lloyd S. Jones was a highly respected author, illustrator and aviation artist. He researched and designed art for the likes of Revell, Monogram, and many other major manufacturers in the airplane model industry. He has many detailed model aircraft residing in the Smithsonian.

 Award Winning Author

Lloyd authored three award-winning aviation books detailing the design and development of American bombers and fighters. He also wrote the highly respected fiction novel “Black Rainbow”.

International Plastic Modelers Society Enthusiast

Lloyd was a life member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS), and American Aviation Historical Society (AAHS).

Hyperrealism

We feature Lloyd's unique genre of art - Hyperrealism.  Hyperrealism is a style that mimics the detailed appearance of a high-resolution photograph making the pieces appear incredibly lifelike.
